NABCOTECH Matriculates 89 Students for 2021/2022 Academic Session

About 89 students on Saturday, March 5, 2022, took the matriculation oath of the NationBuilders College of Technology, Asaba, (NABCOTECH), on the occasion of the first matriculation ceremony of the College held at the College pavilion.

Giving his address, the Rector, Dr. Chukwuma Anuku, thanked the Governing Council of the College for providing all forms of support, which has earned the College, the full recognition by the Federal Government and the approval by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), to run the National Diploma in Innovation Studies(NID), in these three departments; Computer Hardware Engineering, Hospitality Management and Tourism Studies as well as Multimedia Technology.

He further revealed that the College awaits the NBTE approval in the following courses; Business management, Printing Technology, Shipping management, Software Engineering. Dr. Anuku urged community leaders and stakeholders to sponsor youths in their communities in any of the certificate short courses offered at the College “kindly tell others about NABCOTECH’s specialized programs… I hereby urge growth-minded community leaders, (exactly like yourselves), to positively impact communities, and to sponsor a youth at a simple cost of under N70,000” he said.

The Rector, re-affirming the College’s zero tolerance for cultism, consumption of hard drugs, sexual harassment, examination malpractice and other immoral acts, advised the students to allow the teachings they will get in the College to be established in their intellectual bank for present and future recalls and application.

In his address, the Governing Council Chairman Most Rev. (Dr.) Daniel Okoh, noted that capacity building and functional education that is easily affordable to all, formed parts of the intentions of the Women and Children’s department of Christ Holy Church International in establishing the College.

His words: “apart from making education affordable here, we insist on good quality of staff, teaching/ learning environment and strict observance of best practices… in addition to quality education, we insist that character must go with learning” Revealing that many of the students are on scholarship, the Chairman thanked all those who are currently sponsoring students in the college and also called for continued sponsorship of indigents student by different community/church leaders.

Arch Bishop Okoh commended the management of the College for haven demonstrated faith in the objectives of the College and assured that their tireless efforts to see the fast growth of this College will not be in vain.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Delta Ministry of Higher Education, Anthony Nwokolobia, commended the proprietors of the College for keying into the Federal Government’s Policy on Science and Technology, which according to him, was; "a technology driven education to build a self-confident, self-reliant nation whose sole mission is an economic autarchy that will produce more of what it needs without having to rely much on the creative ingenuity and cunning innovation of other nations".

Other guests at the event included; Officials from the NBTE; Vice Chancellors, Rectors and Registrars of Higher institutions in Delta State; Members of the Christ Holy Church International Board of Superintendents; Dr. Smart Aguba, Central Chairman, Christ Holy Church International Youth Fellowship; Leaders of the Christ Holy Church International Women and Children’s Department; Clergymen; Newsmen; Parents and Guardians of matriculants; among other guests
